MEDITERRANEAN FARM-STYLE WELCOME DINNER IN MYKONOS | KIM & OREN

If the beauty and organic produce bounty of Greece has been having  you eager to book a one-way ticket to the islands we can hardly blame you. Kim & Oren’s conscious escapist cells brought them to the island of the winds for their Jewish luxury beach nuptials at Kalua Mykonos, and it was this Mediterranean farm-style welcome dinner that opened their celebratory four-day bash. Our team of power-designers wished to give the beautiful couple and their guests a hearty idea of what pre-wedding receptions are all about, and Farma Mykonos, the first-ever farm-to-table restaurant in Greece, perched just a few steps from the sand-dusted cliffs of Ftelia bay, was just the perfect place.

Creating an artful seated dinner for the couple and their 250 guests in colorful Mediterranean palettes of blue, yellow and green, strings of lights and greenhouse stations was only half the fun. Their first night of celebrations began with the most scrumptious soul food executed by the lauded Chefs, bands of local musicians and endless dancing under strings of lights (or was it the starry skies above?), epic festivities and the loudest plate smashing you’ve ever witnessed. And although the couple’s Luxe Moroccan-style Henna party at Alemagou Mykonos was on for the following day, they all refused to stop partying till the break of dawn. See it all below lensed by Yiannis Alefantou.
